Suite aux perquisitions menées ce jour, le juge d’instruction chargé du dossier a demandé que des scellés soient posés sur des locaux du Parlement européen, plus précisément dans les bureaux attribués à deux assistants parlementaires supposément impliqués.
Comme l’exige la procédure, Madame la Présidente du Parlement européen a été avisée de la situation.
Cette procédure suit son cours.
Par ailleurs, un suspect a été arrêté en France suite au mandat d’arrêt européen délivré contre lui.
La corruption supposée aurait eu lieu au profit de l’entreprise HUAWEI.
De plus amples renseignements, et notamment les données à caractère personnel et/ou de tous autres éléments permettant l’identification des personnes impliquées ne peuvent en aucun cas être divulgués à ce stade, et ce dans le respect de la présomption d’innocence des personnes concernées et de l’enquête elle-même.

Naar aanleiding van de huiszoekingen van vandaag heeft de onderzoeksrechter verzocht om verzegeling van de gebouwen van het Europees Parlement, met name van de kantoren van de twee parlementaire medewerkers die hierbij betrokken zouden zijn.
Zoals de procedure vereist, is de Voorzitter van het Europees Parlement op de hoogte gesteld van de situatie.
Deze procedure wordt voortgezet.
Daarnaast is er een verdachte gearresteerd in Frankrijk naar aanleiding van het Europees arrestatiebevel dat tegen hem is uitgevaardigd.
De vermeende omkoping zou HUAWEI ten goede zijn gekomen.
Verdere informatie, in het bijzonder persoonsgegevens en/of andere elementen aan de hand waarvan de betrokken personen kunnen worden geïdentificeerd, kan in dit stadium niet worden vrijgegeven om het vermoeden van onschuld van de betrokken personen en het onderzoek zelf te respecteren.

Following the house searches carried out today, the investigating judge in charge of the case has requested that seals be affixed to the premises of the European Parliament, more specifically to the offices allocated to two parliamentary assistants allegedly involved.
As required by procedure, the President of the European Parliament has been informed of the situation.
This procedure is continuing.
In addition, a suspect has been arrested in France following the European arrest warrant issued against him.
The alleged bribery is said to have benefited HUAWEI.
